Match Highlights: Oliver’s cross onto Barzan’s head for the second goal
A game of two halves. Tufnell Park dominated in the first 20 minutes and then held on for the victory in the second half.
The first half saw TP spend most of the time in the Salsa Verde half. Joel opened the scoring with a nice solo run and a delightful finish into the bottom right corner. There were then a spate of chances with Joel and Louis both hitting the post two times each before Oliver made a powerful run down the left wing and hit a pinpoint cross straight to Barzan who calmly headed home.
Just before half time SV hit back with a long range shot to make it 2-1, massively against the flow of play.
Chris brought on Liam and Ned at half time for Louis and Oliver.
The second half saw SV reorganise, putting their goalkeeper up front as a goal hanging centre forward. This disrupted the Park’s shape and the opposition suddenly looked a lot more threatening . Fortunately their dangerous striker Frank shot over the bar on several occasions when in a good position.
Louis and Oliver came on with eight minutes to go play for Joel and Barzan.
Tufnell Park were unlucky not to make it 3-1 with five minutes to go when Louis struck a strong shot that was going into the top right corner but the SV keeper made a fantastic save to keep it 2-1.
Tufnell held out for the final minutes and recorded their third straight victory.
